This auction is for one framed program illustration as listed. Hosted by Groucho Marx during War time in 1943, this was sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. This is the 11th Blue Ribbon Town Radio Show Program "Through Another Cowboy On The Fire," with Guest "Carole Landis" June 5, 1943. The wonderful caricature illustration reminds me of Al Hirschfeld's work...no signature though. Great Comedy and Pabst Beer memorabilia! "Blue Ribbon Town" was a comedy-variety radio series starring Groucho Marx, sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, and broadcast on CBS from March 27, 1943, to August 5, 1944. The 30-minute series was heard Saturday nights.
Only a handful of these have been sold on eBay over the years. Some of the paint on the original frame has worn off, and there are a few very light waves on the program, but it displays beautifully! Zoom into to see. These very seldomly come along...truly a rare find!
